Mahesh Kumar Passa

Class of 1960

Mahesh Kumar Passa is a senior member of the Alumni Group, and one of the strongest supporters of the Alumni initiatives. He is always upfront in offering whatever support is required for the Alumni projects.He has demonstrated a special love and commitment for our Alma Mater, and to quote his own words:

“My school days from 1950 to 1960 became basis of my life, physically, mentally and spiritually. Scouting taught me manners, etiquettes, and friendliness that have lasted for a lifetime.”

Mahesh has always been interested in pursuing knowledge and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education (B. Ed.; M.Ed.) from Karachi University. He was a teacher in Karachi before migrating to USA. He loves reading and learning languages, and has studied Kachhi, Gujarati, Sindhi, Urdu, Hindi, Persian, Turkish and Russian.

Mahesh was a devoted scout and attended many camps and camporees. He was awarded “Wood Badge,” the highest award for adult scout leaders of Scout associations throughout the world.

After moving to USA, he worked for the special police and now operates a family daycare center with his wife.
